Stillness in the Adelaide Japanese Garden

Stillness in the Japanese Garden is designed for guests who want a slower, deeper and more reflective experience within the Adelaide Gardens.

Held in the Japanese Garden, the experience draws on the qualities of the place itself: water, stone, planting, shade, quiet pathways and the deliberate sense of pause built into the garden's design. A specialist Beyond Wellness facilitator leads the group through guided sensory immersion, meditation, gentle movement and breathwork, allowing each practice to build on the last.

The session begins by helping guests arrive in the space and notice what is already present around them. From there, the facilitator guides a slow sensory practice, followed by seated meditation, breath-led regulation and gentle movement suited to the group. The format is calm, structured and accessible, but it allows more depth than a shorter walk or breakfast experience.

This product is appropriate for guests who are seeking time to slow down rather than simply fill a morning. It suits small retreat groups, corporate wellbeing programs, leadership groups, milestone gatherings and visitors who want to experience Adelaide through stillness, care and place.

The experience is facilitated with respect for the Garden and its public setting. It should feel quiet, contained and beautifully held, with no sense of performance or spectacle.
